Finally, our technicians carry out a complete inspection and draw up a report before returning the operational unit to you.

Tests carried out during calibration

We calibrate manual blood pressure meters according to a strict protocol to guarantee reliable measurements. We use a reference manometer and a pressure simulator, in compliance with the requirements of the technical standards applicable in Switzerland, in particular SN EN 1060 for non-invasive measuring instruments. When we detect a measurement deviation beyond the permitted tolerances, we recommend repair or replacement before putting the device back into service.

Compliance and standards

In Switzerland, the use and testing of blood pressure monitors must comply with recognized technical standards, in particular SN EN 1060 – Non-invasive blood pressure measuring instruments. In Switzerland, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) issues recommendations on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
