You will then receive a prepaid label by e-mail, which you can print out and affix to the parcel for shipment via Swiss Post.

Finally, our technicians carry out a complete inspection and draw up a report before returning the operational unit to you.

Service presentation

Our electrocardiograph maintenance service inspects the device and its accessories in accordance with Swiss technical recommendations. We also carry out ODIM inspections when necessary, to check that the device conforms to specific established procedures. When we identify a faulty accessory or component, we immediately submit a quotation to the customer before any repair or replacement. If a test fails because of a faulty component – for example, a patient cable, battery, fuse or mains cable – we replace or repair the component, then carry out a new test at no extra charge. In this way, we guarantee testing under optimum conditions and in compliance with current technical standards.

Tests carried out during technical inspection

During the technical inspection, we carry out several steps to confirm the conformity and performance of the unit:

Testing general electrocardiograph functions
Electrical earthing and leakage current test to IEC 62353
Simulator test of electrocardiogram printing, with measurement and control of printed traces
Inspect the patient cable and check that it is working properly
Battery check
Check mains cable, charger and fuses
Maintenance cleaning of the print roller
Production of a report indicating conformity of measured values and condition of accessories, with printout of successful electrical test report

Compliance and standards

Our ECG maintenance strictly complies with international standard IEC 62353, which defines electrical safety test methods for active medical devices. In Switzerland, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) issues recommendations on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
