Internet security

Data security issues frequently raise uncertainties and questions among users of online services. In order to reduce these uncertainties through maximum transparency, we set out here our data collection practices when using our platform: volume, purpose, mode of use and possible transmission. We also inform you of your rights regarding the use of your data.

Personal data

Personal data is information relating to the personal or material condition of an identified or identifiable natural person, for example your name, address or telephone number. Information that has no direct or indirect link with you (e.g. the number of users of a page or the popularity of a website) is not personal data. We collect and use them to optimize our site and improve its user-friendliness, for example.

Data protection

Swixed SA is committed to complying with the New Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), as well as the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), guaranteeing the confidentiality, integrity and security of personal data.

To ensure system security, our website’s server also records, by default, users’ connection data, the pages they visit, the date and duration of the visit, the type of browser and operating system used and the site from which they arrived on our site. This data is stored in anonymous form, so that it is impossible to link it to an identified or identifiable person.

Consent

By providing your data when registering as a visitor, creating a personal customer account and/or using our site without registration, you confirm that you are familiar with this declaration and consent to the collection, processing and transmission of your data within the limits specified herein.

Use of cookies

We use cookies to make your visit to our site more enjoyable. These cookies help us to optimize the organization of the site, facilitate navigation and, in general, maximize user-friendliness. Cookies are text files that are stored on the user’s hard disk when they visit a website. They are used to store information for a certain period of time and to identify the user’s PC. If you accept our cookies, they will remain on your PC until you delete them. You can deactivate the collection and storage of your data by this service on your browser at any time.

Using Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter “Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are stored on your computer, to help us analyse how you use our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored. It states that it does not mix the IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics with other batches of data, but synchronizes it with other Google system technologies such as DoubleClick, p. e.g. (see user-friendly online advertising below for details). It also affirms that it will only pass on such data to third parties in order to comply with a legal requirement or as part of the processing of contractual data. By using our website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. You can prevent cookies from being saved by modifying your browser settings. You can also prevent the capture and processing of data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in, as well as on the terms of use and data protection.

Using Microsoft Bing Ads

Our site uses conversion tracking from Bing Ads (Microsoft Corporation). When you click on a Bing ad, a cookie is stored on your PC. It allows both Bing and the site operator to know that you have arrived on our site via a Bing ad. Please note that your IP address will also be recorded. If you do not wish to take part in this tracking operation, you can refuse the cookie by modifying your browser settings. Further information on data protection and the cookies used by Microsoft Bing can be found on the Microsoft website.

Use of social plug-ins

Our platform uses social plug-ins from third parties such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or Google+. These plug-ins bear the supplier’s logo and may take the form of a “like”, “Google+” or other button. When you visit a site containing such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct relationship with the supplier’s computers. The content of the plug-in is then transmitted directly to your browser, which integrates it into the site. The integration of the plug-in tells the provider that you have visited our site. If you have an account with the supplier and are logged in, the supplier can link the visit to your profile. When you interact with a plug-in (by clicking on “Like” or leaving a comment), your browser signals this directly to the provider, who records the information. If you log out, the plug-in will continue to collect anonymous data and install cookies. When you log back on to the supplier’s site, this data can be linked to your profile. To find out more about the collection and use of your data by a supplier, your rights in this respect and the means available to you to protect your privacy, please consult the supplier’s data protection information.

  • Google Inc.

If you do not want suppliers to collect data about you using these cookies, you can select the Block third-party cookies option in your browser settings. Your browser will no longer send cookies to the server in the event of integrated content from other providers.

To record your user behavior, we place a cookie on your computer, which we compare with the corresponding web beacon on our site. To optimize our advertising offer, we use the tools listed below on a permanent or temporary basis, and we collaborate with the suppliers mentioned. This information is stored under a pseudonym (a non-personalized identity number), making it impossible to identify you personally.
